David Pittard has been announced as Head want2race judge alongside BTCC race winner Paul O’Neil, for the 2015 want2race competition!
Running alongside the Ginetta Junior Scholarship on a separate Bedford Autodrome circuit configuration will be want2race. Now in its third year, it has seen over 1,000 new drivers pass through the doors of its Ginetta racing competition and race car experience.
Competitors are no stranger to success either, with 2012 winner Rob Keogh winning the 2015 GRDC+ championship, and the previous two winners racing to a top ten finish in their debut outing, as part of the w2r prize package.
Having whittled down hundreds of entrants to just 100, the finalists gather to be tested by motorsport’s finest, including BTCC star Paul O’Neil, 2015 Michelin Ginetta GT4 SuperCup champion Tom Oliphant and 2015 Ginetta GT5 Challenge Champion James Kellet.
After a number of driving sessions as well as a formal media interview, the want2race judging panel will pick one winner to receive a fully funded season in the 2016 Ginetta Racing Drivers Club, which includes car hire, entry fees, fuel, insurance, race wear, helmet, gloves, HANS device, driver tuition and technical support.
