Following on from the success of his Historic Racing debut at the 3hours of Barcelona with co-driver and car owner Graham Wilson, David is back again this weekend with the Masters Historic championship driving the Lotus Elan 26R which he co drove to honours in Barcelona as well as his debut in the FIA World Historic Sportscar championship in a Chevron B8.
“I’m buzzing to get back in the Elan and Chevron! They are both such fun cars to drive and it seems ages since I last drove the historic cars! The crossply tyres mean the car slide all over the place and its a real test of a drivers control and the cars are back to basics, no TC and ABS or sequential gearboxs, proper driving!”
Graham Wilson currently lies 5th in the FIA World Sportscar championship, against the likey of Lola T70s, Chevron B19s, of which he’ll be looking to close the gap going to the former French Grand Prix circuit.
